Hilarious Amazon.com reviews: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

(3 out of 5 stars) "I didn't like Huck Finn too much because it's difficult to analyze and put together in words. It was more of a pleasure reading novel than a book for an English class."

(4 out of 5 stars) "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was a fun book to read. I liked the adventures he had with his friend Jim. I really liked the historical part of this novel. Since Jim was a runaway slave everything in the book changed. They both had to be carful not to be seen by anyone, so as not to be suspicious. I think that was my favorite part. I found it very hard for me to understand the dialect or language. Because of this it made it hard for me to get into the book. All in all I think this was a great book to read and give it 4 stars." I find it hard for me to understand the dialect or language of this review.

(2 out of 5 stars) "I HATE THIS BOOK! It takes me an hour to get through the first page. Its frustrating to try and read this. It is a great story...very adventurous, but very difficult to read. at least for me..."

(5 out of 5 stars) "this is an excellent and well written story. there are some truly memorable lines in this film [emphasis mine] as Huck and Tom take their adventures down the Mississippi.
A wonderful read for kids of all ages, including 50 year olds."

(4 out of 5 stars) "Huckleberry Finn was a story about a boy who was an orfan. He lived with a widow and his father was not very nice to him .One day he snuck out of his house and ran away andfound a firend. I thought this was a good book." N.B.-this is a "kid's review", so I suppose I should go easy on the spelling. However, I'm amused by the fact that the review is titled "The advenger of Huckleberry Finn".

(3 out of 5 stars) (Book on Tape Edition) "I ordered this so I wouldn't have to read the entire book aloud to my class, and they wouldn't have to read it aloud either. You have to have a balance control on your tape player, or no dice. I don't have a balance control, so I had to unplug first the left and then the right speaker to listen to this. That's the only way they could get the entire novel onto four tapes! Mr. Hill reads a lot slower than I do, for effect I guess, so we won't listen to this much. Maybe just when I am sick of reading aloud! But it is nice to have so when I need a substitute, he or she can just pop the tape in and not have to worry about covering the reading for that day."

(1 out of 5 stars) "This book is boring!!!!!! I am three chapters into the book. It is so hard to read, he rambles on so much, it just puts you to sleep in minutes, and the dialect is so weird, it's confusing because we've been taught proper english and we don't talk like that anymore." IRONIC

(1 out of 5 stars) "This book is so poorly written, and out of context, it's not even funny. Samuel Clemens should be smacked, and every copy of this stupid book should be burned." Out of context?

(4 out of 5 stars) "Huck Finn was a very interesting book, which had a lot of facts in it, from which I learned from. Additionally it kept me in suspense and I recomend you read this book."

(1 out of 5 stars) "I was required to read this book for my first year university humanities class and I found this to be the most tedious book to read due to all the slang and improper english. Each page took me twice as long to read as a regular book because I had to understand what was actually trying to be said. Don't waste your time reading this book."

(3 out of 5 stars) "I liked the beginning and the end, but the middle was dull"

(5 out of 5 stars) "Hey, okay just so that everybody knows, not ALL teenagers find it TOTALLY BoRiNg to read a book. I'm 14 n luv to read, especially classics like Huckleberry finn and I am not a social outcast!!!! OHMIGAWD, Big surprise. I think it's not the AGE but the person. so if you thought the book was boring, why don't ya try looking at your life????? Okay, well anyway! Luved the book!!!!!!!!!! I'm reading Great Expectations right now and that book is really great 2!!! Also Oliver Twist is good. One of my favorites is The Witch of Blackbird Pond, which is very historical and just a great book!!! I have read that book like 5 times and each time it's just as good!!! Please try reading it!! I'm sure you'd like it!!!"

(4 out of 5 stars) "I'M IN 8TH GRADE AND I THOUGHT IT WAS HARD TO READ BUT I ENJOYED IT VERY VERY MUCH" Review title - "IT WAS VERY HISTORICAL",
