2004-07-07 - 9:40 p.m. Summer (10:24 PM): Maybe I should have been a programmer. Nate (10:25 PM): You can probably still be one. Go read some programmy thing. Summer (10:27 PM): HI COMPUTER COMPANY PLEASE HIRE ME I READ SOME PROGRAMMY THING Nate (10:28 PM): *shrug* Nate (10:28 PM): You'd probably have to do something too. Nate (10:28 PM): And then happen to know somebody. Summer (10:28 PM): Yeah Nate (10:28 PM): But you have to do that any way even if you have like, a degree in it. Summer (10:28 PM): it was hard enough to get library jobs, and I know how to do that Nate (10:29 PM): If you want to learn computer programming you can probably do so and maybe get a job in it. There, as far as I can tell, people who definatly don't know anything employed in the field. Summer (10:30 PM): Also, I am a girl. And girls are cute, apparantly. Nate (10:30 PM): Therefore they make sexy programming ninjas. Summer (10:33 PM): hooray! Nate(10:34 PM): I have offered many rational arguments Nate (10:37 PM): Plus also the first computer programmer ever was a woman maybe. Summer (10:37 PM): I didn't think there was any doubt that Ada Lovelace was a woman... Nate (10:39 PM): Some people like to say that Konrad Zuse was the first computer programmer, because he actually had a computer. Nate (10:39 PM): Although, Ada's would have run if Babbage ever finished his difference engine. Nate (10:39 PM): So most people say she is the first computer programmer. Summer (10:40 PM): lazy Babbage. Nate (10:40 PM): I think he ran out of money or something.
